    2. As health secretary, Sokoine University of Agriculture – Health Services Department

As a Health secretary I was in the same line with Medical Officer in charge in managing all the matter pertaining to health services. These include administrative, curative and preventive services.

  1. Specific responsibilities were:-
    • Prepare budget for the health services at university level.
    • Staff management and solving all matter arising from misconduct and misbehaviour at the health department.
    • Management of procurements and logistics.
    • Supervising and organizing all meeting in health department and daily clinical meetings for staff at the hospital.

3. As Clinical Officer, 2002-2008; working at Morogoro Regional Referral Hospital Surgical Department.

  • Attending patients in the wards and outpatients.
  • Performing minor and major operations such as surgical toilet, suturing of cut wounds, incision and drainage, incision biopsy, herniorrhaphy, hydrocelectomy, as well as management of patients in clinics.
