Mr. Deogratias Faustine Mpenzi has been a Lecturer at Mzumbe University since July 2012. He was born in 1974 and did his undergraduate degree (2001) and Master’s Degree (2010) in Health Systems Management at the same university. In 2013 he was assigned to be a Master Programmes Coordinator in the department of Health Systems Management, which includes the Master of Health Systems Management (MHSM) and Master of Science in Health Monitoring and Evaluation (MSc H M&E). His heart has invested in health systems research, health care financing, health systems management, principles and practice of management, and public administration, as well as the following topics which are taught as part of the MSc HM&E programme: epidemiology and biostatistics, health management information systems, strategic management in health, health leadership and management, and qualitative data analysis.

In regards to research and consultancies, he is much interested in project/programmes/health systems evaluations. In Health Systems analysis, the Health Management Information system(s) is inclusive and very vital. Data analysis tools (software) for analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data is still an area that needs vigorous investment. Of the same importance, strategic planning and other planning issues consume much of his time as he continues to practice and learn more and more on these topoics. Mr. Mpenzi is currently seeking opportunities to begin earning his PhD.
